Controlled drug prescriptions

At Halo Pharmacy, we follow strict guidelines to handle controlled drug prescriptions safely and in line with the law. Here’s what you need to know about ordering and receiving these medications.

Prescription requirements

Your prescription must be issued on an FP10CD form (the pink form). We require the original physical copy before we can dispense your medication.

Delivery guidelines

Royal Mail deliveries
All controlled drug prescriptions are sent via Royal Mail’s signed-for service, for secure delivery.

Royal Mail doesn’t collect on Sundays, so orders processed after the final Saturday collection will be delivered the following Tuesday.

Please make sure someone’s available to sign for the package. If nobody’s available, Royal Mail will either hold it or return it to us.

Same-day deliveries
Eligible same-day deliveries are completed the same day if your order is processed before our cut-off, 4pm on weekdays or 12pm on Saturdays.

On weekends, please make sure someone’s available to receive the package directly from our driver.
